I work at a 24 hour veterinary emergency hospital and 15 minutes before the end of my shift, my pet was identified through his microchip as the current Good Sam/HBC drop off. As terribly confusing as this event was I was ultimately reunited with my baby within 15 minutes of his arrival. He was literally delivered TO ME in his most critical hour. There was no way that the person that dropped him off could have possibly known this information. Thanks to the microchip though my baby never had to be in the hands of strangers waiting to locate the owner, etc. It was a very surreal situation to say the least since my home is 10 miles north of the hospital. My thoughts were so erratic, There is no way that its MY dog… but microchips do not lie. He ultimately received the best of care ASAP thanks to his microchip.
