When my cat, Penelope, escaped out the door and then up a tree and then down and off into the distance, I was sure that I’d never see her again. I searched and hung up posters, but I had no idea where Penelope might be.
Nearly two years later, I was in line at the movies when I got a text saying Penelope had been found! A Good Samaritan several miles away had been feeding her and was finally able to catch her and take her to the shelter. The shelter scanned her and found the chip, which meant Penelope was returned to me and was home just in time for Christmas. If Penelope hadn’t been chipped, I never would have recovered her or even known what happened to her on her adventures in trees, yards and streets!
