My five-year-old Cocker Spaniel, Amber, got out of the yard and went on a short journey. After about an hour, I received a call from one of the local vets. Apparently, one of the vet’s customers was on her way to the vet herself when she saw my Amber on the shoulder of the road, stopped and picked her up.
The vet explained what had happened telling me that he then scanned Amber for a microchip and, lo and behold, she had one! The vet had called PetLink to get my contact information and that led to my Cocker and I being reunited. We have had many dogs over the years and never had them chipped. Luck was on my side when I decided to have a microchip implanted in Amber and registered her with PetLink. I now would recommend this process to anyone with a pet they love.
