I was out of town attending my mom who was ill when a windstorm damaged the yard fence and my Kangal dog, Nazier, got out. Unfortunately he was severely injured but a kind neighbor took him to the vet. Through PetLink I was contacted as soon as Nazier arrived at the vet’s office and, though 800 miles away, I was able to make decisions as to Nazier’s care. Due to the severity of his injuries, Nazier had to be humanely put to sleep. But thanks to PetLink this response was far better than having Nazier suffer as an injured and lost dog with no apparent owner. So, my story does have a sad ending but it could have been worse. Thank goodness for PetLink!
