I received a call from the vet clinic very early in the morning at 6:00 a.m. letting me know that Rusty, my miniature Pinscher, was alive and would be able to come home that day. Apparently, the night before, he got out through the front door when my husband came home. We had no idea that this occurred until a few hours later. It was so scary!! However, a good Samaritan found Rusty, generously bought him expensive dog food and kindly dropped him off at the nearby local vet hospital.
Rusty is blind, 13 years old and doesn’t respond when called, due to his old age. My husband and I were frantic and searched for three hours, so sad to know Rusty was out in the dark, cold night. I finally went to bed 3:00 a.m. We are extremely relieved to know that Rusty is alive and safe at home!! I’m grateful I got Rusty a microchip … it was my best investment ever. Thanks for all your help, PetLink!! =o)
