My huge French Mastiff, Bolo, panicked in a thunderstorm and escaped from my yard on April 17, 2013 and was picked up by our local Humane Society on the following day. Because I had Bolo microchipped the shelter was able to notify me immediately that he was safe and that I could pick him up the next day.
I notified PetLink that my dog was lost and they emailed me as soon as Bolo was located. The information on Bolo’s microchip connected Bolo to me, so I didn’t have to go all over the city to find him, and it also saved me on boarding fees!
